The Story Behind Mello.
Hi! my name is David, and I’m the founder of Mello Strips.
Growing up, I was always restless. Fidgeting, zoning out, and dealing with constant brain fog. I brushed it off as “just being a kid,” but as I started working, it began affecting my focus, confidence, and performance. I couldn’t sit still, struggled in meetings, and constantly wondered why being “normal” felt so hard.
In 2024, I was diagnosed with ADHD, and everything finally made sense. After trying countless fidget tools that were noisy, distracting, or out of place for adult life, I discovered the calming power of textured materials! subtle, grounding, and quiet. That became the foundation of Mello Strips: simple sensory tools designed to support focus and calm in everyday moments.

Building through Doubt.
The first months of 2025 were filled with uncertainty. Early product samples didn’t feel right — the textures missed the mark, and the designs lacked the calm I was searching for. Progress felt slow, doubt crept in, and there were moments of questioning whether Mello Strips would ever become what I imagined.
Instead of stopping, I kept refining. Testing again. Learning what truly mattered. When the next samples arrived, everything clicked — the texture felt grounding, the designs finally felt intentional, and Mello Strips became the product it was meant to be. What exists today is the result of choosing to keep going when it would’ve been easier to quit.

My First Order!
After a year of building, the first purchase came through! and it genuinely felt like the best thing in the world. Even though it was just one order, it meant everything to me. It was a quiet moment of validation, proof that Mello Strips wasn’t just an idea anymore, but a product someone chose and believed in.
Where We're Headed.
We are still at the beginning. Right now, the focus is on growth and understanding who this product can genuinely help. From individuals navigating stress and sensory needs, to neurodivergent communities and learning environments like schools, the aim is to build something that’s thoughtful, supportive, and practical.
This stage is about listening, learning, and improving. So, the product can earn its place in everyday moments where calm and focus matter most.
